Division Employee Benefits
Important benefit announcements:
Critical Illness Insurance Changes: Effective immediately, the age-rated premium will be calculated on the employee’s age as of January 1 and will be in effect through December 31. In the event an employee has a birthday during the year that would move them to a different age band, they will continue to pay the lower age-band premium for the rest of the calendar year.
At the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture (UADA), we value our employees and recognize them as our organization’s greatest asset. The benefits package includes university contributions to health, dental, life and disability insurance, tuition waivers for employees and their families, 12 official holidays, immediate leave accrual and a choice of retirement programs with university contributions ranging from 5 to 10% of employee salary.
New benefits-eligible employees of UADA have 31 days from their benefits-eligible appointment dates to enroll in their retirement and insurance benefits. Your insurance benefits and voluntary retirement contributions will be effective the first day of the following month following the date you complete the enrollment process within Workday.
All appointed (non-student) employees working 50% time or greater are eligible for most benefits. To review benefit information related to UADA click the “See all Benefit Information” button listed below. At the right hand top of the screen click the “change campus” button and select “Division of Agriculture” and then click “Let’s Go”. Detailed information regarding the UADA benefits packet can be found under the appropriate drop down tabs.
Benefits enrollment will take place within Workday. As a new hire, once the Hiring Process Tasks are completed, (direct deposit, W-4, State Tax form, and I-9) the Benefits Elections Task will appear in your Workday inbox by your second day of employment. Follow the prompts to complete the Benefits Election Task. In the event you have completed the hiring process and do not receive the Benefits Election Task notification, contact email@example.com.
For employees experiencing a qualifying event (marriage, divorce, death of covered dependent, birth, adoption, loss of other coverage, or gain of other coverage) within 31 days you may edit your benefit elections within Workday under the Benefits Application Icon. In the event you need assistance, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
You will need the following to begin the enrollment and/or qualifying event process:
