Login instructions for AES Division employees

Do you have an AES-UAEX email/AD account account and need help on logging in to secure systems? We have the help you need!

We have TWO types of login authentication: Azure and IIS.

What's the difference between Azure and IIS?

Azure is a "bridge" or connector software that allows third party programs such as OmniUpdate, Box, and Zoom to let us log in with our active directory credentials. This is great because you don't have to have separate logins for each software! That's also called "SSO" or "single sign on".

IIS stands for "Internet Information Service" and this is the technology that allows us to log into secure sites that we host ourselves, like the Employee website.

Why don't we just use one software?

Our IT team is working on it! It's not a simple process, unfortunately, but we soon hope to have a single process to log into all of our online applications.

How to log in to Box, OmniUpdate, Zoom, and other Azure secure applications using AES credentials:

For any Azure SSO application, the login format is:

username@uaex.edu (AES-UAEX email address)

password  (AES-UAEX AD account password)

Azure SSO apps are:

  • Office 365
  • Zoom
  • Box
  • Learn
  • Qualtrics
  • Workday
  • Monsido (website analytics tool)
  • OmniUpdate (website editing tool)

IMPORTANT NOTE: AES-UAEX AD users must have setup their MFA prior to trying to login to any of these Azure SSO apps. If not, they will be prompted at the most inopportune time and the frustration and anger will soon follow.

How to log in to any UAEX\Division website using AES credentials:

aes\spec1234acct (AES-UAEX AD username)

password  (AES-UAEX AD account password)

Note: the domain name "aes\" is required!
